ServSafe Food Safety and Sanitation
Summary
Enhance your food safety knowledge with our 14-hour ServSafe® certification course, which is essential for food service professionals in North Carolina. This program covers safe food handling and storage, temperature control, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), personal hygiene and safety regulations, sanitary facilities, and pest management. A current ServSafe® Manager textbook and exam answer sheet are required. Recommended for all food service facilities, including supervisory staff and culinary professionals.

Requirements
Age Requirement:
In compliance with State Board Community College Code and Continuing Education program standards, students must be 16 years or older to
enroll in these classes. Exceptions are made only for self-supporting
safe driving courses and summer enrichment programs for minors under 16
years of age.
For your
safety, please bring an apron and wear long sleeves, long pants or skirts, and
non-slip, closed-toe shoes.
