Campers will learn specialized skills, including tackle selection for targeting local fish, a variety of useful fishing knots, fishing with slip floats, and advanced casting skills such as flipping and pitching baits. We will focus on largemouth bass and bluegill for this camp, though we can focus on other species based on input from campers. We will utilize the ponds on SCC campus. If you have T-shirts you love but no longer wear, a T-shirt quilt is the perfect thing to learn to make. Learn the steps to make a memory quilt for yourself or as a gift. Sewing or quilting experience is not required. Campers will need to bring several clean T-shirts and a working sewing machine. After designing and creating the quilt top, campers will apply backing and batting, encase, and tie to finish the quilt.
