Escort Vehicle Operator

This course meets the NC Department of Transportation's training requirements to certify oversize-overweight load escort vehicle drivers.

- Hold a valid driver’s license with no restrictions other than corrective lenses. 

- Have no DWI or reckless driving offenses within the past 12 months. 

- Be 21 years of age (or 18 with a Class A Commercial Driver’s License). 

- Complete a 2- or 4-hour defensive driving course approved by the National Safety Council if applying for initial certification.  (approximately $55.00 via NSC.org)
